The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requires ongoing access to the Missouri Professional Development (MODP) System originally purchased in 2022 via a cooperative contract through the State of Pennsylvania for Professional Development (PD) registry software through New World Now. The MODP system was customized to meet state and federal requirements and the needs of the state agency. The system is fully owned, developed, and supported by New World Now. New World Now’s system is not available for resale or license through third parties. Therefore, New World Now is the sole provider for the MODP system and its software and is the only vendor to support the ongoing needed enhancements of the MODP system. As a result, this represents a proprietary requirement that meets the criteria as a single feasible source under RSMo 34.044 and the state is pursuing the acquisition of via a Single Feasible Source procurement.
