a) Workshops and Training: The audience of these three professional development opportunities will be early childhood professionals in Texas. This includes local Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) providers, childcare professionals, and preschool teachers. • Six (6) 2-day evidence-based, virtual, live instructor-led professional development workshops that accommodate up to 100 attendees per workshop. • Four (4) 2-week evidence-based, virtual, asynchronous professional development workshops that accommodate up to 80 attendees per workshop. • Four (4) 2-4-week professional consultant certification training cohorts that accommodate up to 25 attendees per cohort. b) Training Materials and Resources: • Digital, print, and shipped training materials • Participant access to a resource library • Ongoing consultation and administrative support. c) Program Content: The training program shall provide evidence-based curricula that address: • Strategies for understanding and responding to challenging behaviors in young children. • Approaches for effectively working with and engaging children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental delays. • Play-based and developmental techniques that can be applied in typical environments (home, childcare, or school).
