Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 The contractor shall provide garment rental and laundry services for Arc-Rated garments and 100% cotton garments for the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (herein after referred to as the state agency) employees located throughout the State of Missouri in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. 2.1.2 The contractor shall provide the services on an as needed, if needed basis. The State of Missouri does not guarantee any usage of the contract whatsoever. 2.1.3 The contractor shall provide garment rental and laundry services for the region(s) stated on the Notice of Award issued by the Division of Purchasing. For purposes of the contract, the regions are identified on the Pricing Pages and are shown on Attachment 1. Each specified region shall include all counties specified on Attachment 1. 2.1.4 The contractor shall be a proven leader in the garment rental business with at least five (5) consecutive years experience in the provision of Arc-Rated garments, laundering, maintenance, and garment rental services for commercial and industrial use. 2.1.5 The contractor shall provide garments that are manufactured in accordance with the following: a. All garments shall meet or exceed industry standards. b. The contractor shall provide all garments as specified herein in a consistent and timely manner to ensure that the garment needs of the state agency are satisfied at all times. c. The contractor shall provide properly fitted garments, guaranteed to withstand the institutional and industrial use for which the garments are being used and rented by the state agency. d. Garments shall be of standard sizes as specified herein and non-standard sizes including the manufacture of garments for employees’ with unusual measurements and/or disabilities. Garments with non-standard sizes shall be handled on a case-by-case basis in a timely fashion evaluating the employee’s individual needs. 2.2.2 The contractor shall clearly label each garment for identification and tracking purposes. a. Each garment shall have the name of the employee to whom the garment has been issued. b. The label shall not be visible when the garment is being worn. c. Each garment shall bear a colorfast label that clearly indicates the fabric content, size, and manufacturer’s name. d. Each garment shall bear a care label with specific laundering and/or dry cleaning instructions permanently attached.
