Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Inspects, coordinates, and oversees the construction of electric transmission and distribution and
communications facilities by contractor. Functions as the field representative of the resident
engineer on construction projects.
2) Coordinates all construction jobs including field checks for site readiness, assuring locates are
complete, checking job prints and material lists for accuracy, arranging for needed job revisions,
updating crew log/job schedule records, etc
3) Observes work in progress to ensure that the procedures are followed and materials used conform
to specifications. Ensures project milestones are being met and appropriate actions are being taken
as required. Records quantities of material received or used during specified period.
4) Examines workmanship of installations for conformity to standards and approves installation.
