The Missouri Department of Public Safety, Missouri Veteran’s Commission (MVC) requires window parts, such as window components, and grooves; and maintenance for their current Veterans Homes in Cameron, Warrensburg, St. James and Mt. Vernon, along with cemeteries in Ft. Leonard Wood and Springfield, which were built using Pella Windows and Doors brand windows exclusively. To ensure MVC can continue to maintain the windows currently installed in the above-referenced locations, it is necessary to purchase parts from Pella Windows and Doors. Parts are only available from Pella Windows and Doors as MVC’s windows use parts exclusive to the Pella Windows and Doors brand. Parts from other brands do not fit Pella Windows and Doors windows, as other window brands have different components and grooves used for fitment. Pella Windows and Doors is the sole manufacturer of the window parts, such as window components, and grooves; needed and the required window parts cannot be purchased from any other vendor except Pella Windows and Doors. As a result, this represents a proprietary requirement that meets the criteria as a single feasible source under RSMo 34.044 and the State is pursuing this acquisition as a Single Feasible Source.
