Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Springfield is seeking qualified firms or persons to provide window washing services. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, insurance, fuel, tools, machinery, transportation, and other goods and services necessary to perform window washing, other surface cleaning, and power washing services. Washing interior and exterior windows, including all frames (heads, jambs, and sills), mullion, grilles, and other related surfaces shall be defined as the complete removal of smudges, tape, bird droppings, oily film, and other types of soil, streaks, and marks from all designated surfaces. The Contractor shall perform the services between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the option to perform the services on Saturdays if their schedule allows and is agreed upon by both parties, except for City-observed holidays. The City observes nine (9) scheduled holidays a year. The holiday schedule is as follows: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Services in areas difficult to access or that are not conveniently accessible may be required by the City to schedule accordingly outside of such hours listed above.
