Specifications include, but are not limited to: Program Requirements: • Include offerings to residential electric customers for ENERGY STAR smart thermostats in the first year and expand the offering EV chargers to our residential electric customers and smart thermostats to our small commercial customers after CU deems the thermostat program is stable. • Contractor to provide guidance in program details and recommendations for participation strategies. o Contractor to provide program design ideas and strategies to operate a successful program. o Expectations are to meet weekly during implementation of the project for updates and information sharing and once stable meet bi-weekly or as needed. • Provide a platform that meets the following criteria: o Ability to call multiple events per year to enrolled participants. These events would run both Winter and Summer seasons. o Ability to pre-cool the home/business before the event starts. o Display an easy-to-read dashboard of pre-event estimated real time forecast of total expected load reduction and display the savings after an event based on number of customers participating. o Provide reporting of savings, participants, load reduction and event information quickly after the event ended, including opt-out participants or participants who opted-out during the event. o Ability to schedule events from City Utilities by City Utilities for immediate control of devices within the hour of CU starting the event. CU expects customers to be notified in these immediate events before the event starts. o Ability to schedule events by City Utilities in the future. CU expects customers to be notified before the event starts. o Ability to see the estimated savings from an immediate event or future event prior to starting the event. • Include a method to enroll customers into the program and have the capability to offer all ENERGY STAR smart thermostat devices to be enrolled. o This includes brands of Ecobee, Emerson, Google, Honeywell, Lennox, Sensi, Trane, and Amazon, but not limited to these brands. o Customers must have the ability to enroll or unenroll or add additional DR offerings easily.
