Specifications include, but are not limited to: Participate in on-site training, in-service training, orientation or any other additional training as required Maintain control of building access by pedestrians utilizing a County-owned walk through and/or hand-held metal detectors as required Maintain access control through proper identification and prior authorization at all times while on duty, with special attention to secured areas. Assist agency personnel with uncontrollable and/or disruptive visitors when needed or as required Investigate suspicious activities of incoming persons and/or visitors Prepare and/or present clear, accurate written and/or oral reports Observe, retain and recall persons, places and situations in detail Communicate quickly and effectively with the agency’s designated representative for any security breach Participate in disciplinary and/or legal hearings if called to do so Identify and report maintenance needs of assigned equipment.
