4.1. The UTV and sprayer unit furnished under these specifications shall be new 2025 or newer of the latest improved model in current production as offered to the commercial trade. 4.2. Vendor shall attach the complete Spec Sheet for unit being bid in the Bid Attachment section of Ebid. 4.3 Functional Requirements 1. Automated Navigation o Must be self-driven with autonomous navigation. o Ability to follow pre-programmed field layouts (soccer, football, Softball,baseball, etc.) to NCAA specifications. o Precision alignment with lines, arcs, and hash marks. 2. Control System o Tablet or mobile device interface (iPad/Android compatible). o Cloud-based or on-device field template library for quick selection. o Ability to customize field markings, logos, and layouts. 3. Accuracy o Must achieve line accuracy within ±1–2 cm. o Consistent paint line width and sharpness across all field types. 4. Paint System o Compatibility with water-based athletic field paints. o Adjustable spray width and flow rate. o Paint consumption tracking and low-level alerts. 5. Platform & Mobility o Mounted on a durable UTV or robotic platform capable of handling grass, turf, and varying field conditions. o Capable of operating on both natural grass and synthetic turf surfaces. o Minimum runtime of 4–6 hours per charge/fuel cycle. 6. Data & Storage o Save and recall field layouts for reuse. o Automatic updates to NCAA rule changes for field dimensions (optional but ideal). o Cloud backup of templates and historical usage data. 4.4 Performance Requirements 1. Efficiency o Must complete a full NCAA soccer field in under 2 hours with one operator. o Multi-field scheduling capability. 2. Durability o Weather-resistant for outdoor use. o Robust enough to withstand frequent use in a collegiate athletics setting. 3. Safety o Obstacle detection sensors (to stop or reroute if an object/person is in path). o Emergency manual override controls. 4.5 Support and Maintenance 1. Serviceability o U.S.-based parts and service availability. o Routine maintenance guidelines provided. o Remote diagnostics capability preferred. 2. Training o Four (4) hours of on-site or remote training for staff must be provided within 2 business days from receipt of unit. o Easy-to-follow documentation and video tutorials.
