Specifications include, but are not limited to: University of Missouri - Kansas City is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms interested in providing temporary staffing services for the UMKC Dental School. The services shall be provided on an as-requested basis for University departments, to supplement the University’s internal temporary services operation. The Contractor(s) shall provide individuals on an as-needed basis to perform the requested services/duties, in accordance with the "Detailed Description of Positions" specifications. These individuals shall, at a minimum, meet the qualifications and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities of the specific position classification requirements. Specific Requirements A. Upon notification by the University, the Contractor shall provide individuals for the position(s) requested, at the time and place indicated by the requesting department. The University will strive to give the Contractor at least a one-week notice of its need for temporary services, to allow time for the Contractor to identify a qualified individual(s). However, if the Contractor is unable to provide the specific services requested, the University must be notified as soon as possible so that alternate arrangements can be made. B. The Contractor shall provide services any time of the day, any day of the week, as requested by the University. However, it is anticipated that most "office" type services will be requested for the hours of 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday; most "service" type positions will be requested for the hours of 5:30 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Note: A "week” is defined by the University as Sunday through Saturday. Unless specifically requested by the University, and agreed to by the Contractor, services will not need to be provided for any University paid holiday or scheduled closure, including but not limited New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. C. The University will provide all necessary supplies, equipment and work space. D. The individuals provided by the Contractor will be subject to the rules, regulations, and policies of the University and the specific department requesting the services. E. The Contractor’s point of contact for billing and all issues with temp employees is the UMKC School of Dentistry Business Office. The agencies should not contact supervisors directly without permission from the Business Office.
