Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Jefferson, herein referred to as City, is seeking proposals to remove and replace the current bus wash located at 820 E Miller Street, Jefferson City, Missouri. The contractor shall be responsible for removing the existing system and installing, testing, and training staff on a new bus wash system. The City currently has a bus wash located at 820 E Miller St., Jefferson City, MO. The bus wash was installed around 2006 by InterClean Equipment. The bus wash dimensions are 20’3” wide x 58’8” long x 18’ high. See Exhibit 4 for a drawing. The bus wash is used for all City vehicles to include: transit buses, fire trucks, grounds and road equipment, police vehicles, and other City vehicles such as sedans, trucks, and SUVs. • Be a completely automatic and touchless heavy-duty vehicle wash which washes all types of vehicles used by the City to include: transit buses, police vehicles, trucks, SUVs, and other grounds and road equipment (dump trucks) in a drive-thru mode. • Wash all sides of vehicles to include roofs and undercarriage. • Must contain a heat system to prevent pipes and hoses from freezing in the winter. The current heat system runs off natural gas. This is not a requirement of the new system. • May include a water softener to prevent hard water marks.
