Specifications include, but are not limited to: All treated trees must be dead (above the girdling cut or hacking cuts) within two (2) growing seasons of treatment date. All cut or girdled trees that are not exempt from chemical application (desirable species) shall be treated as described in Exhibit B. Stump height shall not exceed 12 inches in height as measured on the uphill side. All trees to be treated that are within falling distance of a designated trail, service road, road, lake water edge, field or existing open land edge, structure, or parking lot must be cut down and may not be girdled and left standing, except those trees that cannot be safely felled other than onto a fence, etc., may be left untreated. All debris created from a felled tree must be removed from these designated surfaces before the end of each workday. The contractor must protect from damage all timber not designated for treatment. The contractor must repair any damage to fences as a result of work performed.
