Specifications include, but are not limited to:Seasonal Clerk – Collections Department/COMBAT 3.1.1.1 Scope of Job: Answers questions from taxpayers and customers in person, by telephone and in writing concerning all matters involving property taxes and/or COMBAT. 3.1.1.2 Job Requirements 3.1.1.2.1 Must take two (2) weeks training, attendance is mandatory during training 3.1.1.2.2 Must agree to work Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve 3.1.1.2.3 Must have skill in oral and written communications 3.1.1.2.4 Must have skill in communicating with the general public 3.1.1.2.5 Must have knowledge of business telephone etiquette 3.1.1.2.6 Must have skill in using computer for retrieving customer accounts, 10-key calculator, copier, letter opening machine and filing 3.1.2 Taxpayer Services Receptionist – Assessment Department 3.1.2.1 Scope of Job: Work is performed under direct supervision, greets and assists taxpayers with property tax issues and/or directs them to the proper area or department. Responsible for effectively managing the flow of taxpayers in the reception area waiting for assistance by Assessment or Collections staff. Prepares, issues and processes paperwork in compliance with deadlines established by State statutes and in accordance with office guidelines and procedures. Provides general clerical support.
