Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program has obtained an Economic Development Administration University Center (EDA-UC) grant from the EDA and as part of the grant will be providing technical services to high technology and commercialization clients in Central Missouri. We would anticipate the awarded vendor (i.e. Contractor) contributing significantly in certain areas of EDA’s key funding priorities, namely: Support Small and Medium-Sized Business – Most of the focus of this grant is on client companies from 1-100 employees. Encourage Collaborative Regional Innovation – The Contractor shall be an active member of formal statewide networks that leverage their own efforts with those of other organizations working with this population of client companies. Foster Global Competitiveness – Intellectual property strategies that enable US entrepreneurs to compete in international markets shall be a key component of the technical assistance given these client companies. Environmentally Sustainable Development – The Contractor shall help client companies with technical assistance in the area of green technology, both in the alternate materials and new energy fields. The Contractor, together with the EDA UC grant program must be very well aligned with, and central to, the State of Missouri’s technology-led economic development strategy.
