While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to strategic planning, the City is seeking a contractor that shall assist in our efforts in the following ways at a minimum: Data Gathering Compile existing data through community engagement in person and virtual options including surveys, town halls, focus groups, workshops, all levels of city staff, etc. Deliverables shall include: SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis Analysis of existing data (including data from the Community Survey, Community Summit, Culture Survey, Engagement Survey, partner organizations and other citywide plans) Create and administer surveys if needed Presentation to City Council Vision, Mission, and Values Statement Assistance in reviewing and evaluating the current City’s Vision, Mission, and Values Deliverables shall include: Proposed revisions to City’s Vision, Mission, and Values statement Community engagement in person and virtual options including surveys, town halls, focus groups, workshops, etc. Staff engagement at all levels of the organization Presentation to City Council Strategic Goals & Objectives Assistance in developing strategic goals and objectives Deliverables shall include: Strategic Goals that are broad, long-term aspirations that guide the City’s direction Objectives that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) - these shall include both short- and long-term objectives for each goal Presentation to City Council Action Plans Assistance in developing a detailed roadmap for us to achieve our goals, with attention paid to what resource allocation is necessary
