Specifications include, but are not limited to: FIRE SUPPRESSION SERVICES. Spartanburg County is seeking an experienced consulting firm than can conduct a performance and management audit of thirty nine (39) individual Fire Departments. The purpose of the audit is to provide information and recommendations for strategic planning and County financial decisions. The consultant will include in the study report, a detailed Implementation Plan to assist Spartanburg County and the fire departments serving it's citizenry with the implementation of any recommendations. This plan should include work programs to assist in monitoring project implementation. The audit will review the departments’ budget, policies, jurisdictional risk, staffing, equipment, capacity, and related variables that promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the Fire Departments in meeting budget efficiency, safe fire operation standards, emergency response needs of today and into the future and community risk reduction practices. The audit is divided into two sections, with the sections in the latter portion being bid as OPTIONS, allowing Spartanburg to select how many of the portions they wish to include.
