Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Snow plows shall be on call whenever there is an accumulation of one (1) inch or more of snow or sleet. Only after receiving authorization from Parkway School District shall the plows be dispatched. Time of snow, school in session, and expected accumulations are major factors in the call out time. 2. Contractor is responsible for plowing of all paved or concrete parking and driveway areas. 3. Contractor shall not push snow into any public right-of-way or roadway. 4. Contractor shall not push snow onto any sidewalk areas or block any emergency exits from buildings. 5. Contractor will not push any snow as to block storm drains and garbage dumpsters. 6. Contractor will provide a means of communication (cell phone) to work crew chiefs to facilitate communications with Parkway personnel. 7. If a Contractor cannot provide service at the call out time, the Grounds Supervisor shall be notified within a reasonable time to select an alternate contractor. 8. All work will be done at the direction of the authorized officials of the Department of Buildings and Grounds. 9. Plowing shall be completed at least one (1) hour prior to the opening of each school or in case plowing is being done during school hours, all plowing must be completed and trucks removed from the lots at least one (1) hour before schools are dismissed. 10. Failure on the part of either party to comply with the terms of this agreement shall result in cancellation of the same. 11. Contractors are responsible for providing their own fuel for their equipment. 12. Contractors shall be responsible for all damages they inflict on district property during snow removal. For example damaging manhole covers, curbs, gutters, bollards, signs and tire stops.
