Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow crews are to be dispatched at an accumulation of 1 inch of snow to clear sidewalks/paths. At an accumulation of 1/8” of sleet, freezing rain or at 1 inch of snow, chemical trucks will be dispatched for an application of Potassium Chloride. If snow or ice is forecasted for A.M. rush hour (6am – 9am), sidewalks will be pre-treated with Potassium Chloride. Pre-Treatment of Potassium Chloride which is applied outside of a forecasted A.M. rush hour event will not be paid. Plowing will be done in a neat organized way so that every possible path on the sidewalk will be available. If wind rows are included they will be pushed tight and neatly to allow adequate pedestrian access and smooth flow of traffic.
