Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall agree and understand that the state agency may delete any parking lot(s)/driveway(s) or any portion of a parking lot/driveway from a location specified above from a specific snow removal event. The contractor’s services shall include plowing and piling of snow from parking lots and driveways, applying sand, salt, and/or ice melt compound to parking lots and driveways as needed, moving snow from sidewalks, and if requested by the state agency, hauling snow from the state agency building to another location. Upon award of contract, the contractor shall visit the state agency buildings to become familiar with the layout of the parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks and the designated locations to pile snow. The contractor shall remove snow from the sidewalks, steps and ramps to permit hazard free pedestrian traffic. If requested by the state agency, the contractor shall hand shovel/sweep snow in areas to include, but not be limited to, the edges of parking garages not accessible by machine removal. The contractor shall pile plowed snow in the locations instructed and as designated by the state agency.
