Specifications include, but are not limited to: The St. Charles City-County Library District (“Library”) seeks proposals from qualified and experienced companies to provide snow/ice removal and ice melt services for nine (9) Library branch locations, one (1) Administration building, and one (1) lot located in Portage Des Sioux1. The Contractor warranties that sufficient equipment in good working order and manpower is/will be available to ensure timely completion of the work. In the event of mechanical breakdown, the Contractor will immediately notify designated SCCCL representative(s). The Library reserves the rights to deploy secondary contractors to fill gaps. 2/3/2022 7 2. The Contractor shall use their own employees and vehicles. Vehicles must be easily identified with company logo. NOTE: Subcontracting of snow/ice removal and ice melt services contract is not allowed. 3. Damage to irrigation heads, parking blocks, sidewalks, speed humps/bumps, signs, or curbs as a result of plowing activity will be repaired at the Contractor's expense, and per the libraries schedule. 4. If any parking blocks, signs, speed humps/bumps, or curbing are moved during the plowing process the Contractor will put these devices back in place and make necessary repairs.
