1. Strategic Communication • Serve as a public-facing ambassador for the SS4A initiative. • Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible messages. 2. Stakeholder & Community Engagement • Facilitate inclusive outreach to residents, business owners, schools, and other community groups. • Plan and lead: o WG Safe Streets Taskforce meetings o Presentations to City board & commission meetings o Small group meetings o Tabling at community events o Public open houses • Gather and synthesize feedback to inform SS4A planning and implementation. 3. Interdepartmental Coordination • Collaborate with City departments (Planning, Public Works, Police, Fire, and Public Affairs) to align efforts and streamline communication. • Attend City board and commission meetings when requested 4. Policy and Program Support • Assist in the development and execution of demonstration projects aimed at reducing crashes and improving walkability and bike ability. 5. Grant Compliance • Ensure alignment with federal grant requirements. • Support documentation, reporting, and performance tracking in coordination with the SS4A Grant Manager.
