Specifications include, but are not limited to: St. Louis Public Schools is soliciting proposals from organizations or individuals that are qualified and interested in providing coordinated off-site and/or on-site educational day placement services for SLPS students as designated in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) in conjunction with the Office of Special Education administration, staff, IEPs, and RFP specifications. Specifically, the bidder has experience providing both academic and therapeutic interventions to identified K-12 students with autism and/or related developmental disabilities displaying chronic, persistent behaviors, teaching language, academic, social, and adaptive behavior skills. Identified students display behaviors that impede one’s learning and/or the learning of others, and typically cannot be supported in the District’s public separate day programs or established K-12 private separate day purchase of service providers due to the severity of behaviors and academic needs. The District is particularly interested in bidders presently serving K-12 students with autism, experience supporting parents/caregivers with caregiver education relative to their child’s disability(ies), and assisting school districts with returning and integrating students to their least restrictive environment when appropriate.
