Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4. REMOVAL, DISPOSAL AND SITE RESTORATION 4.1 The Vendor shall remove from the site and dispose of all material, debris, replacement materials in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations. 4.1.1 Vendors are strongly encouraged to recycle metal, concrete, and any other material in order to reduce the amount of waste going to the Landfill. 5. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS 5.1 Vendor must comply with the following information throughout the completion of the project provided they do not interfere with the other documents attached to the bid. 5.1.1 Any deviation from the bid documents which may arise during installation must be addressed and approved by the Project Manager prior to completion of work, with a contract amendment being issued by UCM. 5.2 Pond Infill requirements for both pond structures shall include, but not be limited to: 5.2.1 - Water shall be drained from the ponds. 5.2.2 - Silt shall be removed from the bottom of the ponds down to solid soil and placed in a location nearby as requested by Farm Director. 5.2.3 - Dam structures shall be removed and leveled off even with the surrounding land. 5.2.4 - Pond shall be filled in with soil that is applicable for such purposes. 5.2.5 - Soil shall be compacted in order to ensure land does not sink over time. 5.2.6 - Soil shall be leveled off with surrounding land and allow for proper drainage. 5.2.7 - Leveled area shall be prepared and seeded with grass approved by the Farm Director. 5.3 Pond Construction requirements shall include, but not be limited to: 5.3.1 Vendor shall stake out pond area prior to digging in order to ensure that it will be the proper size. 5.3.2 Pond shall have a minimum of one (1) acre of surface water. 5.3.3 Pond shall have a minimum depth of 10 feet throughout the entire structure. 5.3.4 Pond shall have a dam built to hold back the water and a drainage system to ensure it does not wash out in heavy rains. 5.3.5 Pond shall have suitable soil on the bottom to ensure it does not leak. 5.3.7 Pond shall have grading performed at the top side to funnel water into the pond structure. 5.3.6 Vendor shall prepare soil and install seed around pond and the dam with grass seed approved by the Farm Director. 5.3.7 Vendor shall utilize the dirt from the pond to fill the two ponds being infilled. 5.3.8 Any dirt remaining from the building of the pond dam and infill shall be placed in a location designated by the Farm Director or hauled off the premises. 5.3.9 Vendor shall provide and install 5-strand barbed wire fence 10 feet away from the water’s edge when pond is at full capacity. 5.3.9.1 Fence shall be of a grade and standard suitable for keeping livestock out of the pond. 5.3.9.2 Fence posts shall be steel except for wood corner posts that are securely anchored into the ground and reinforced. 5.3.9.3 Fence shall have two (2) access gates made out of 5-strand barbed wire, one on each side of the structure. Farm Director to specify location. 5.3.9.4 Fence shall be stretched to ensure it remains in place securely and does not sag over time. 5.4 Vendors shall supply and install an automatic livestock waterer in a location designated by the Farm Director. 5.4.1 Waterer shall be split fence, frost proof, and energy free (solar). 5.4.2 Waterer shall have water fed to it from the pond being built. 5.5 Vendors shall clear all trees and brush from around the ponds to be infilled. 5.5.1 Clearing shall include removing trees and brush and either hauling it away or piling it up in a location determined by the Farm Director to have burned in the future. 5.6 The Contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying of all fees and charges associated with permits or licenses required to complete the work for this project. 5.6.1 UCM is not subject to most permits in Warrensburg, but it is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure this is applicable for this project. 5.7 Contractors will be given a location to park vehicles and stage equipment during the term of the project. 5.8 All work related to the project shall be included in the lump sum price and the total amount agreed to in the final contract. 5.9 Contractor takes full responsibility for all their employees and any subcontractors who are hired to work on the project. 5.10 Contractor must coordinate work outside of normal business hours with Farm Director. 5.11 Vendor shall complete the project according to industry standards and the Specifications/Plans/Drawings attached to the Ebid Bid Attachment section.
