Description: In order to perform forensic DNA Analysis under the FBI Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) and ANAM accreditation standards, it is necessary to use commercially approved and validated DNA consumables, supplies, reagents, and equipment to develop DNA profiles using the CODIS core 20 loci. Promega Corporation is the sole manufacturer and distributor of these products in the U.S. Furthermore, the Promega DNA consumables, supplies, reagents and equipment have been utilized by MSHP for over twenty (20) years and have undergone extensive validation testing in order to develop specific DNA profiles for use by the MSHP. As a result, this meets the criteria as a single feasible source under section 34.044, RSMo.
