The Department of Revenue has contract CS230035001 with OpSec Security, Inc. for Printing Temporary License Plate Permits. Due to the passage of Senate Bill 28, the Department of Revenue will no longer require the Printing of Temporary License Plate Permits. The current contract for the Printing of Temporary License Plate Permits must continue uninterrupted for Missouri citizens until the implementation of FUSION is complete. It is not feasible to utilize resources to conduct a new procurement process for the Printing of Temporary License Plate Permits as it would only result in a short-term contract that is utilized only until the FUSION system is operational. The services needed are only available from OpSec Security, Inc., the current provider, because the need for consistency is imperative as the Department of Revenue transitions to the FUSION system and because discontinuation of services would provide a disruption of services. The one-year extension of CS230035001 will allow sufficient time for the Department of Revenue to ensure FUSION is operational.
