The goal of this program is to restore idle unproductive fields that are currently being maintained with a brush hog and convert them into natural prairie and native ecological systems. Work is generally planned to occur on property that is owned and maintained by City Utilities. This RFP contains several different types of work, with the intent that the awarded contractor is responsible for ensuring all work is completed in a timely fashion. Currently CU is only pursuing one location of roughly 4 acres located on the southern end of CU’s John Twitty Energy Center property. A map of this location has been included with this RFP. Additional future locations will be dependent on the success of the initial location. This is a one-year agreement with four one-year renewal options.
