Specifications include, but are not limited to: Plant Survey Requirements: The contractor shall accurately identify, within the parameters of the protocol, all plants to the species-level. The accuracy of species determinations shall be subject to verification by the P.I. when deemed necessary. The contractor shall resolve all unknown plant species prior to submitting data and reports to the P.I. The contractor shall scan and email all paper data sheets to alex.morphew@mdc.mo.gov following the completion of plant community surveys for each year of the project. The contractor shall consult with the P.I. to set attainable deadlines for the submission of data sheets. The contractor shall enter all plant community data collected in a pre-determined form and format (including associated meta-data), conduct required data entry checks, and email all entered data to alex.morphew@mdc.mo.gov prior to the start of the following field season (mid-April, 2025), or by mid-April in the year following the last season of data collection. The contractor shall provide recommendations and justification for methods of vegetation community statistical analysis during the initial project planning stage and when data collection has been completed. Pollinator Survey Requirements: The contractor shall commit to a partial field season of conducting pollinator surveys in the first year of the project (5-6 surveys; May – early October 2024). The contractor shall commit to at least two (2) full-length field seasons (mid-April through early-October, 2025 and 2026) of conducting pollinator surveys (6-8 surveys/year), with the potential for a third year of funding in 2027. The contractor shall follow provided protocols for pollinator collection methods to conduct four (4) to five (5) days of pollinator surveys every 3-4 weeks (weather-dependent) of the growing season, starting in mid-April (years two (2) and three (3) of the project, 2025-2026; possibility of extension for a fourth year of data collection) and ending in early October. In the first year of the project only (2024), pollinator surveys shall commence in May.
