This project is located at the Betty Allison Junior Golf Course at Oscar Blom (1825 E Norton Rd) owned and operated by the SpringfieldGreene County Park Board. The project will repair erosion in the stream running through the golf course and stabilize the banks using riprap, soil riprap and native plantings. The failing metal culvert underneath the first tee box will be replaced with a concrete box culvert. Approximately 3,500 plant plugs will be planted for the project. The project is partially financed with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 319 money in the value of $15,000. 2.1 The plan set titled Oscar Blom Streambank Stabilization (2024PW0025), prepared by The City of Springfield will be constructed per City of Springfield General Conditions & Technical specifications for Public Improvements adopted July 2025. The City of Springfield will inspect the construction of this project.
