Project Description 1. Please refer to the Project Manual and drawings for further information. Proposal shall be accompanied with bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposal, including alternates, if applicable, in form of a Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check. This is a prevailing wage project and shall adhere to the current prevailing wage rates for Jackson County, Missouri. MCPL is a political subdivision and is therefore tax exempt. Paying applications or invoices must be accompanied by Certified Payroll Reports for the State of Missouri. Once the contract is signed and the proper documents are submitted the contractor will be given a notice to proceed. Work can begin as soon as contractor receives notice to proceed. Time is of the essence in this contract, and MCPL would like to see substantial completion of the project no later than November 15, 2025. Bids are to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of thirty (60) days after submission. This project is a prevailing wage job and therefore shall be subject to all requirements of such. MCPL reserves the right to accept any proposal, to waive irregularities in proposals and in bidding, and to reject any or all proposals.
