2.2.1 LICENSURE The contractor shall provide a Missouri licensed registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in compliance with Chapter 335, Revised Missouri Statutes (RSMo) in good standing throughout the contract period to provide on one on one nursing services. The contractor shall further agree and understand that utilizing a non-licensed Missouri registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide services under this contract may result in the immediate termination of the contract at the option of the MSSD Superintendent. The contractor shall notify the MSSD business manager whenever a nurse providing services under the contract has a license or certification revoked or any disciplinary action is taken against the nurse by the relevant board or licensing authority. 2.2.2 BACKGROUND CHECK The contractor and/or any therapist who has actual or potential direct physical contact with students under this contract shall register online with the Family Care Safety Registry. The Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) helps protect seniors, children and the disabled by conducting background screenings on long term care workers, child care workers and personal care workers. Registering with the FCSR means you will provide personal information and agree to background screenings. The contractor and/or therapist shall be responsible for any fees related to the Family Care Safety Registry. Any negative findings from the screening or background check shall be cause for the MSSD to reject the contractor and/or therapist from having any student contact under this contract.
