1. The following Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) electrical facilities shall be maintained under this scope of services: a. Troost Avenue MAX- Forty-Nine (49) unique MAX station stops along a route from 11th & Wyandotte to Drury & Bannister Road. Six (6) are combined with Main Street MAX stations. • Forty-one (41) of the new Troost Avenue MAX stations have electrical service. b. Prospect Ave. MAX – Fifty-five (55) unique MAX stops along a route from 11th & Wyandotte to 75th & Prospect. Seven (7) are combined with Troost MAX stations. • Forty-eight (48) of the new Prospect MAX stations have electrical service. 2. This contract shall provide the following services: a. Troost Avenue MAX- Full service for the station electrical and lighting elements including inspections, preventive maintenance, special repairs, emergency electrical service, and utility locates. Artwork lighting and operation at 31st street, 39th street and 75th street will also be included in this contract. b. Prospect Avenue MAX- Full service for the station electrical and lighting elements including inspections, preventive maintenance, special repairs, emergency electrical service, and utility locates. Conductive Concrete electrical systems will also be included in this contract. c. Maintenance of the real time arrival signs (RTAS) shall be handled directly by the KCATA and is not part of this contract. Contractor shall, however, notify KCATA when a RTAS appears to not be operating properly. d. Three Trails Transit Center 9449 Blue Ridge Blvd. - Full service for the station electrical and lighting elements including inspections, preventive maintenance, special repairs, emergency electrical service, and utility locates. 3. Service shall be provided on a 24-hour 7-days-a-week basis for all electrical lines, components and lighting and within the MAX shelters, markers, kiosks, signs. This work shall be done on-site at each of the station stops, Park & Rides and Transit Centers (see MAX route maps - Attachment. The scope of services generally covers any repair, preventive maintenance or administrative work required to keep the MAX electrical systems fully operational. The following is a general summary of required tasks and responsibilities: a. Conduct periodic inspections to verify electrical systems are operating properly. b. Repair & maintain KCATA owned electrical components and lighting. c. Repair and maintain KCA TA owned underground cables and conduits providing electrical power. d. Respond to emergency situations at stations ready to make immediate repairs and make the site safe. e. Document and respond to Missouri utility locate requests.
