Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 The contractor shall provide the provision of lawn care and snow removal services for the Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (hereinafter referred to as the Department), in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the Department. 2.1.2 The contractor agrees and understands that this contract is on an as needed, if needed basis. The State of Missouri does not guarantee any usage of the contract whatsoever. 2.1.3 Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall furnish all material, labor, facilities, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the services required herein. 2.2 Performance Requirements for Lawn Care Services: 2.2.1 The contractor shall allow at least five (5) days between each mowing and trimming. The contractor shall understand and agree that in the event there are extended periods of time when conditions are such that the lawns are not growing, the Department will not request services. a. The contractor shall mow and trim the lawn area indicated within the orane lines indicate on Attachments 1 and 2. b. The contractor shall respond to the request for lawn care services within seventy-two (72) hours of receiving the request from the designated Department representative. c. The contractor shall provide lawn care services on days and times mutually agreed upon by the designated Department representative and the contractor. 2.2.2 The contractor shall provide lawn care services in a professional manner in accordance with acceptable professional practices and the highest standards appropriate to promote a healthy lawn and to minimize damage to trees, shrubs, other desired plants, and surrounding property. 2.2.3 The contractor shall mow and string trim all lawns for the first time in the spring to two and a half (2 ½) inches in height. The contractor shall mow and string trim all lawns to three (3) inches in height thereafter. 2.2.4 The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash, debris, and limbs on the lawn prior to mowing. 2.2.5 The contractor shall execute mower turns at different locations on the lawn to minimize bare spots in the lawn. 2.2.6 The contractor shall only use a push mower and string trimmer to mow the lawn in the fenced playground area. 2.2.7 The contractor shall capture grass clippings with a mower bagger when mowing lawns within ten (10) feet of buildings and occupied parking lots; however, a mower bagger is not necessary when there are no vehicles in the parking lot.
