Specifications include, but are not limited to: Landscape and Irrigation services at all sites in the District. Services will include mowing, tree and bed care; LAWN CARE: 1. The turf shall be cut at a height between 2.5" and 3.5" as environmental conditions dictate. The machines used for mowing shall have sharp blades so as to avoid tearing of the grass blades. Machines and mowing patterns shall be executed in a manner so as to recycle clippings. Excess clippings shall be removed so as to present a neat and clean appearance. Unsightly debris shall be removed from turf areas upon each owing. 2. Leaves shall be removed 3 times in the fall/winter from all turf areas. EVERGREEN, SHRUB AND GROUND COVER BEDS: 1. All beds shall be maintained through hand weeding, cultivation or herbicide application. A pre-emergent herbicide shall be applied 2 times per season to all beds. A post-emergent herbicide shall be applied 13 times per season to appropriate beds. All bark mulch beds shall be cultivated 3 times per season and weeded weekly 28 times per season. 2. All tree rings shall have bark mulch removed and replaced 1 time during the season to maintain no more than three inches of depth. ADDITIONAL: 1. Unsightly debris, accumulated over winter, shall be removed to provide a clean job-site before the mowing season begins. (Spring Clean-up). 2. Perennial shall have dead leaves and flower stalks removed 4 times per season. 3. Omental Grasses shall be cut back 1 time in the late Winter and Spring.
