The County is seeking a Contractor for a full HVAC system install work at St Charles County Klondike Park Maintenance Office Building. All executed work must meet the following specifications: The Contractor will be provided a PDF of drawings to bid from. Drawings will have County recommendations for locations, but local codes as well as will dictate actual location. Plans to be designed to St Charles County Code as well as Augusta Fire Code. The Contractor shall provide and install Lennox or equivalent, 3.5-ton heat pump systemsingle phase. Electrical connection to be done by electrical contractor. The Contractor shall provide and install a Lennox or equivalent air handler with 15 KW heater with single circuit power source kit. Electrical connections to be done by electrical contractor. The Contractor shall provide and install properly sized refrigerant line sets that are insulated with UV resistant insulation. Contractor shall be responsible for filling and patching hole once line set is installed. The Contractor shall provide all metal ducting that is internally insulated on square trunk line ducting, and externally insulated on round supply vent ducting from trunk line. Ducting shall be provided for a complete install. Contractor shall also seal all duct work joints. Flex ducting is to be limited to a maximum of 5 feet. The Contractor shall be responsible for sealing all fire penetrations. The Contractor shall provide and install metal flashing for all PVC pipe penetrations per fire code. If pipe is not installed yet, contractor to leave flashing on site for plumbing contractor to install. The Contractor is to provide and install flexible duct vibration isolation connector on supply and return plenum. The Contractor is to provide and install anti-vibration pads on bottom of air handler unit The Contractor is to provide, level, and install concrete condenser pad for heat pump to set on. Plastic or polymer is will not be accepted. The Contractor shall provide heat pump thermostat for electrical contractor to install. Wiring and install to be done by electrical contractor. The Contractor shall provide and install and air filter box for a 1” thick filter, length and width to be sized for air flow. Contractor to provide 3 filters total- 1 installed 2 spares. The Contractor shall provide and install all condensate drain line piping with condensate P trap to floor drain. Condensate pump may be needed to minimize piping on floor. Running drain to exterior of building will be acceptable. The contractor shall use the provided plan as reference only. Utility room layout must stay as is. All other ducting lay out to be done by bidding contractor. The Contractor shall provide and install venting for 120 CFM bathroom exhaust fan. Fan provided by electrical contractor. Venting through side of the building steel is the preferred method. The Contractor shall perform system start-up running in heat pump mode, Air Conditioning mode, and electric heat mode. Electrician will make all wiring connections prior and turn power on up to unit disconnect.
