Specifications include, but are not limited to: The St Charles County Parks and Recreation Department is making improvements to Kinetic Park. These improvements include a new park entry, 40,000 square foot adventure playground, 17,000 square foot recirculating water play area, site improvements, and renovations to the existing retention pond. The new park entry will feature a freestanding entry sign, new landscaping, and a decorative concrete ribbon winding through the new entry walk. The adventure playground includes three new, multi-level play towers connected with rope bridges and net climbers. The playground also includes slides, swings, spinners, a circular gravity rail and a log maze. The water play area will feature a freestanding, manmade rock structure with a waterfall element and two water slides. A shallow stream winds through the middle of water play, beneath two boardwalks and into a concealed inlet. Water slides and a variety of spray, jet and splash play elements will round out the water play area. New walkways will integrate the new park areas with the existing park elements. The renovated pond is flanked by new seat walls and a terraced picnic area. A partial renovation of the existing single-story building to remove the existing entry, create a new reception area, renovated party rooms and new finishes. In addition to the renovation of the existing facility is the construction of a new ground-up adjacent facility consisting of 9,402 square feet on a single story. The new facility will provide space for a large activity room, additional restrooms, concession and dining area and an E-Sports room along with office and support spaces.
