Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) serves as the association of city and county governments and the metropolitan planning organization for the bi-state Kansas City region. As a voluntary association, MARC strives to foster better understanding and cooperation on issues that extend beyond the jurisdiction of a single city, county or state. MARC is seeking to retain the creative, innovative and expert services of a qualified consultant or firm to develop land use and transportation development recommendations for the K-7 corridor in Leavenworth and Wyandotte Counties, Kansas. The approach should provide an economic development strategy for the corridor, and recognize that the roadway facility may be in a transitional state from the current arterial/expressway configuration to a future freeway facility for a number of years. MARC intends to enter into a contract for a twelve-month study period. The MARC budget for this project will not exceed $115,195.
