Remove and dispose of 54,699.18 sq feet existing carpet in all highlighted areas of the 2nd floor of JCKL as shown in the Main Floor Plan Map in Ebid attacments; 5.5.1 Work area includes the entire 2nd floor excluding rooms 2221, 2438, 2441, and 2459. 5.5.2 Supply and install new carpet tiles: J&J Flooring Group, Style: Evolve Modular 7981, Color: Transpire 1479. 5.5.3 Upon award of bid, UCM will require product samples (carpet tile and cove base) prior to installation for review and approval. 5.5.4 Provide 5% additional attic stock of carpet tiles for future use by the owner. 5.6 Carpet Installation will be subject to the following: 5.6.1 Carpet installation will flow in multiple phases to minimize disruption to library operations. 5.6.2 Within 10 days of award contractor shall submit a detailed phasing plan for approval by the project manager. 5.6.3 Carpet installation shall include areas under all bookshelves on movable tracks. 5.6.4 The bottom shelves of the stationary book shelves will be unloaded if necessary by UCM staff.
