1. Annually, at renewal time, Broker is expected to solicit bids from insurance companies, summarize bids sent, responses and results and recommend an insurance company to the City. 2. Broker shall assist in review and analysis of renewal and new insurance bids collected for both voluntary and employer provided benefit plans. 3. Broker shall assist in providing consulting advice for new or revised benefit programs to offer to employees. 4. Broker shall assist in resolution of insurance and administrative issues with insurance carriers, third party administrators and other fringe benefit providers. 5. Broker shall meet with the Director of Human Resources on an as needed or as requested basis. In addition, the Broker should be available to meet with the City when attendance is requested to answer benefit questions and to present new/revised benefit alternatives for future consideration. The Broker may also be called upon to provide advice, guidance or training to City staff.
