3.0 SPECIFICATIONS: The City of Springfield is seeking qualified firms or persons to provide an Ion Chromatography System for the Southwest Treatment Plant. 3.1 SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and supplies, insurance, transportation and any and all other items necessary to provide a complete Ion Chromatography System with Autosampler, to include delivery, installation, and training at the Southwest Wastewater Treatment Plant, 3301 S. State Highway FF, Springfield, MO 65807. 3.2 ION CHROMATOGRAPHY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The requirements and provisions shall be construed to be the minimum requirements of these specifications. Reference Metrohm 930 Compact IC Flex P/N 29302460, Conductivity Detector P/N 28509010, Supressor Regeneration P/N 65330190, Computer Controller and Software P/N SNG-TI17407, Autosampler P/N 28580030, Ultrafiltration P/N 605330210, Installation and Training P/N SER-ICTRNG06, or equal. 3.2.1 System must come with a controller, monitor, and all required software to process and store ion chromatography data from analyzed samples and perform all ion chromatography hardware functions. 3.2.2 System must be compliant with EPA 300.1 methodologies for the analysis of fluoride, chloride, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate, and sulfate in filtered wastewater and stream water samples. 3.2.3 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of fluoride at fifty (50) nanograms of fluoride per liter or below. 3.2.4 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of chloride at one (1) milligram of chloride per liter or below. 3.2.5 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of nitrate at fifty (50) nanograms of nitrogen per liter or below. 3.2.6 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of nitrite at fifty (50) nanograms of nitrogen per liter or below. 3.2.7 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of orthophosphate at fifty (50) nanograms of phosphorous per liter or below. 3.2.8 System must be able to satisfy a reporting limit of sulfate at one (1) milligram sulfate per liter or below. 3.2.9 System must include all necessary hardware, tubing, glassware to comply with executing analyses compliant with EPA 300.1 methodology. 3.2.10 System must include preliminary filtration module capable of housing a 0.2 micrometer filter to increase the lifespan of the ion chromatography column and reduce clogging in the instrument tubing. 3.2.11 System must include a maintenance kit that can provide materials for routine maintenance for up to a year.
