The contractor shall provide services on Grand Trace Conservation Area located in Harrison County, Missouri in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the Department. The work area is approximately fifty-six (56) acres with roughly 1.8 miles of edge feathering. The contractor shall provide brush/tree removal and edge feathering services in the work area depicted on Attachment 2 (see Overview Page of the solicitation for Attachment 2) using a combination of high-flow skid steer attached brush cutter or forestry mulcher, and high-flow skid steer attached tree shear or tree saw and grapple. The contractor must complete at least 50% of the scope of work no later than 1/1/2026. The contractor must complete all services ordered no later than May 1, 2026. The contractor must maintain a machine hour log to document actual machine hours used. The Department shall confirm the machine hour reading prior to the commencement and at the conclusion of any activity. Work by the contractor will be monitored for acceptable progress based on the hours logged. Unacceptable work will be addressed by the Department with contractor for improved results. In the event a resolution cannot be achieved, the Department reserves the right to terminate the contract. The contractor shall mow/chop or mulch/masticate brush and/or trees up to 4 inches DBH using a skid steer with brush mower/chopper or forestry mulcher/masticator attachment and shear/saw and pile trees up to 14 inches DBH using skid steer and tree shear or tree saw and grapple attachments, in the area designated by the Department.
