Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.2.1. The Contractor shall provide a project manager and trained uniformed security guards who will perform a wide range of tasks with routine to rarely occurring frequency to ensure the safety and security of CU assets. Some of these services include but are not limited to: • Communicating via radio and telephones and reports. • Conducting searches and inspections of personnel, vehicles, assets, and facilities. • Controlling access to varying levels of restricted areas and zones. • Enforcing CU policies and regulatory requirements. • Inspecting packages and parcels. • Locking and unlocking gates, facilities, and rooms. • Managing crowds and ensuring public safety. • Monitoring and controlling parking and traffic flow. • Patrolling material yards, construction sites, corporate properties, waterways, recreational areas, unimproved surfaces, and trail areas. • Providing assistance to law enforcement, emergency personnel, customers, employees, vendors, and the public. • Responding to emergencies and working within the NIMS ICS structure. • Safeguarding sensitive information or physical assets and escorting personnel and equipment as requested. • Staffing gates, construction or repair sites, magnetometer check points, access control points, auditoriums, and conference rooms.
