1. Provide for the removal of select ash trees as identified within this document. 2. Removal of all tree stumps of removed trees at a minimum depth of three (3") inches. 3. Responsible for the removal of all wood debris including, limbs, brush, logs, and wood chips. All debris must be taken to a suitable disposal site. No debris is to be left on the city streets or city rights-of-way for an extended period and never overnight. 4. Replacement of ash trees with trees as identified below. All trees are to be two (2") inch in diameter or at least eight (8') feet to ten (10') feet in height and may be container or balled and burlap. Trees must be one (1) of the five (5) species specified below. Contractor will follow the planting specifications outlined by the Urban Tree Foundation shown below. Areas where there are trees removed in succession, Contractor must alternate species. Container root balls must be shaved to remove any girdling or circling roots using suitable equipment to make clean cuts. Balled and burlaped trees in wire cages must have the top six (6") inches to eight (8") inches of wire basket removed before backfilling the planting hole. All burlap and twine must be removed from the top of the root ball. Contractor will warranty the plant material for one (1) year after planting and agrees to replace any dead or defective plant material. The warranty will begin once the city has inspected the completed plantings and issued an acceptance of completion.
