Specifications include, but are not limited to: Installation of replacement main electrical switchgear, provide/replacement sump pumps with controls, install a natural gas generator for sump pumps, modify electrical for sump pumps as per attached bid documents. The work shall be in accordance with the following conditions which will be made part of any contract entered into: 1. Obtain all necessary Permits required for Project and all additional documentation required for the process. 2. Remove the existing main electrical gear and replace with new. Modify the concrete pad as required. Existing 2000 amp, at 208/120v, 3-phase, 4-wire. Verify AIC rating and provide fault current label as required. All breakers to match existing. Coordinated with Evergy for power shut-down/on. Contractor to re-terminate existing load feeders on the breaker and provide a material if needed for feeder extensions. (Extension shall not be within the gear, provide shall provide splice box above the gear is needed, and extend new feeder from the splice box to the breaker as required). New gear shall have min. of 20% space available for future connections. 3. Contractor responsible for temperature power during the main gear replacement. Including maintaining power to security systems. 4. As part of the main gear replacement provide (1) 60A/2P Breaker. This breaker shall feed the transfer switch. Normal power connection. Install 3-#6 (CU) and 1-#10 ground wire in 3/4” conduit. Label breaker at main “Panel EP” 5. Install (1) surface-mounted 100 Amp rated panel (Label EP), 208/120V, 1-phase, 3-wire. Min. of 12-poles (not counting main breaker). Provide label on panel. “Emergency 120v load only”. 6. Install (1) 100 Amp rated 208/240V, 1-phase, 3-wire transfer switch in a NEMA type 1 Enclosure. (Label T-EP) 7. Install new ground-mounted natural gas generator and connect to the existing gas service. Install with regulator prior to making generator connection. 8. Route new electrical feed from the generator to the emergency side of the transfer switch using 3-#6 (CU) and 1-#10 ground wire in 3/4” conduit.
