Specifications include, but are not limited to: Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) serves more than 14,000 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. KCPS consists of six (6) high schools, three (3) middle schools, twenty-three (23) elementary schools, (nine (9) being signature schools), two (2) early learning community schools, and one (1)Vocational/Technical school. KCPS encompasses 76 square miles and employs nearly 2,500 professionals. KCPS received full accreditation by the Missouri State Board of Education January 11, 2022. KCPS continues to adopt an aggressive approach to implementing the Common Core Standards while pursuing an increased use of personal computing and technology.KCPS is seeking proposals from qualified service providers with an adequate line of credit who can design, construct, implement, and provide high-speed state ofthe art wide area network services through a leased fiber optic network system among its various sites as well as a high-speed leased fiber optic connection to its Internet Service Provider. This connectivity is designed to accommodate both the present and future digital application needs. The intent is to achieve an industrystandards-based infrastructure that will enhance educational and administrative activities at all sites with the flexibility and support of future needs and activities. This RFP contains information and instructions to enable interested serviceproviders to prepare and submit proposals to KCPS.KCPS is soliciting qualified service providers to submit an installation and ongoingservice bid for leased fiber solutions for wide area network services including, butnot limited to equipment racks, digital equipment, data cabling, and associated termination equipment as required, and including installation as described in the Scope of Work, Section 2. All equipment included in this request will be owned and maintained by the awarded service provider with no option for transfer of ownership to the lessee
