The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is seeking design and construction services for AlbertOakland Family Aquatic Center Improvements. The facility was constructed in 1978 and has had limited renovations or repairs since its initial construction. These improvements shall include all updates to the mechanical equipment as well as structural issues. Pricing shall include all personnel, travel, per diem, materials, labor freight, prevailing wage and bonding requirements for the project to provide the design and construction of the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center as stated herein. Contractor shall provide at a minimum, but not limited to: Design • Design services, sealed drawings, and permitting (State of Missouri) • Demolition of selective deck, saw cut walls, and remove concrete as required • Replace concrete deck and pour back approximately twenty-two thousand (22,000) square feet of deck • Concrete to be replaced at 4” depth with rebar (provide detail) • Eliminate existing grass area along southern side of pool and replace with concrete up to and including existing fence • Remove and replace approximately seven hundred and fifteen (715) linear feet of fencing with 8’ high black vinyl chain link fence with 2 ¼” diamond spacing including approximately 1” wide black vertical fence slats • Construct a new zero entry zone to connect to the existing pool: provide and install rebar, concrete floor, and cast in place walls • Provide and install interactive water features in the new zero entry and include a Mega Splash (or approved equal product) dumping bucket • Provide and install two (2) diving stands (pool will need to be measured for compliance) • Provide and install (1) ADA chairlift • Provide and install (3) Recessed Ladders • Provide and install Climbing wall • Provide and install 12 starting blocks - 6 blocks on north and south end • Provide and install replacement water play equipment located within the 2-5-year-old kiddie pool area Equipment should be designed similar in size and feature content as existing structure • Alternate: Provide and install aquazip (or equivalent).
