In the course of the contracted training the vendor will provide the following: • A minimum of 40 hours of classroom instruction culminating in the student passing the CDL permit test. o Note: there may be the possibility of offering this portion at OTC with proper notice and scheduling, but availability is not guaranteed. • A minimum of 80 hours and up to 120 hours as/if needed of lab instruction focused on the driving skills necessary to pass the Class A CDL exam. • Schedule a time and location for the student’s CDL driving exam, provide a vehicle for said exam, and provide up to three test and remediation training as needed. • Provide a plan for students who might require more than 120 hours of driver/lab instruction and detail any costs that might be associated. • Provide at least weekly reports on student attendance and performance to the designated person(s) at OTC. • Observe OTC scheduled holidays and non-class days as far as student attendance and the vendor are concerned. • Work around/with the OTC class semester schedule as needed for EDS related classes. o Currently the classroom portion of instruction is delivered over two weeks in August, and the driving portion is delivered as one day a week classes over 16 to 19 weeks starting in August. In the past we have utilized 16-week and 8- week formats for both classes so flexibility to offer that depending on the semester is needed. • Provide a list of any specific vendor site rules to be communicated to the students as well as any other special information.
