All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.1 Jackson County estimates its annual use will be as follows: 5.1.1 50lb bags of Calcium Chloride Pellets 2,365 to 2,500 bags 5.1.2 50lb bags of #1 Rock Salt 275 to 300 bags 5.1.3 25lb bags of #1 Rock Salt 475 to 500 bags 5.1.4 50lb bags of Blue Ice Melter 400 to 500 bags These are estimates only and are based on past requirements. Actual orders will depend on weather conditions. 5.2 Calcium Chloride Pellets: shall be orders “as needed” and shall be delivered by the Successful Respondent to the Delivery Locations specified herein 5.3 Rock Salt: Will be picked up at the Successful Respondent’s location(s) by County vehicles. Successful Respondent must be able to load materials onto County vehicles. 5.4 Emergencies: In the event of a weather emergency as defined or declared by the State, City, or Local Government, the Successful Respondent shall quickly mobilize its internal and external resources to assure that Jackson County, Missouri has adequate supplies of Calcium Chloride and Rock Salt. 5.5 Price Increases: The Successful Contractor may increase prices only when the increase applies to the General Public and is stated officially in electronic form to the Jackson County, Missouri Purchasing Department. Price increases shall not take effect against the County until the Successful Contractor has verified the fulfillment of this condition to be reasonable satisfaction of the County’s Purchasing Department.
