Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this RFP is to award a contract to the highest rated firm for Interior Entryway Security Service for the County of Jefferson, Missouri Courthouse in Hillsboro, Missouri. Background: The Courthouse currently has one entry-point station, the station include a walk through metal detector, hand held security wands, and a conveyor x-ray system. The entry station in operation is to prevent the introduction of contraband items from entering the County Courthouse. These items include but not limited to weapons, chemicals, illegal drugs, and explosives. Services Required: The Security Inspector inspects/screens all briefcases, purses, boxes and personal belongings of persons wishing to enter the Courthouse. The inspector may be required to inspect persons and/or personal items manually after passing through a metal detection device. The inspector is responsible for ensuring that individuals entering the Courthouse do not possess unauthorized material such as weapons, explosives, etc. This person communicates with law enforcement personnel if unauthorized material is discovered, or in the case of an emergency. The inspector conducts facility observations, for the safety of persons inside and those entering the Courthouse, ensuring that there are no obvious threats, unusual situations or suspicious activities, and notifies the proper authorities if such situations occur. The Security Inspector may perform routine testing and maintenance of screening equipment.
