The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has contract CS232374001 with Phelps County Regional Medical Center for Capital Improvements for the Phelps County Medical Center EMS Helipad and Ambulance Base. Due to the provision of the continuation of capital improvements for the Phelps County Medical Center EMS Helipad and Ambulance Base, Phelps County Regional Medical Center is the only entity that meets the requirements of the emergency medical services helipad and ambulance base for a hospital in a county with more than forty thousand but fewer than fifty thousand inhabitants and with a county seat with more than eighteen thousand but fewer than twenty-one thousand inhabitants, as required by House Bill 14 Section 14.210. For the reasons identified above, Phelps County Regional Medical Center is the only feasible source from which to acquire the Capital Improvements for the Phelps County Medical Center EMS Helipad and Ambulance Base. As a result, this meets the criteria as a single feasible source under section 34.044 RSMo.
