Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. The district is looking to replace outdated intercom systems in both OTMS and FPUE. i. The district is looking to have a system that is both IP and analog based ii. The district is looking to have the system integrated with our current ip phone system. iii. The district currently wants a web based programming of the intercom system. iv. The district wants installation of this equipment v. The district wants configuring of this equipment vi. The district has standardized on Bogen E7000 Intercom systems. vii. All old equipment, including speakers, head end units, speaker wires, call buttons etc, shall be demoed out and removed at winning bidders expense. b. Any item of equipment or material not specifically addressed on the drawings or in this document and required to provide a complete and functional installation shall be provided in a level of quality consistent with other specified items at no additional cost to the owner. c. General Installation i. The contractor shall furnish all required installation tools to facilitate installation. ii. Any attic stock or equipment removed from network closets shall be brought back to the District Technology Center at 25102 E. US 24 Highway Independence, MO 64056. d. Onsite work requirements: i. Vendors will have at least two employees on the job site Monday through Friday, except for major holidays, sickness, family emergency or prior customer approval, for at least eight hours a day until substantial completion is approved by the owner. The contractor agrees to a payment of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250x2) per day per employee for not being onsite with a maximum daily penalty of Five Hundred Dollars ($500x2). In addition to the prevailing wage paperwork requirements, weekly timesheets must be submitted to the owner for work verification. e. Backorder of Supplies i. No work shall begin until all parts are on-site and accounted for. ii. If parts are back ordered, it will be the responsibility of the vendor to work with the district to get approved alternative equipment so the project can be completed in a timely manner. iii. The district may override this and let installation begin when necessary.
